048_-_abp_aboutUs02The Luftwaffe Airfield Re-enactment Group was formed in 2005, when a small group of collectors/re-enactors came together to display alongside a 3/4 scale Fieseler Storch at airshows around the country. Early in 2006 we increased our membership and are working towards putting on a larger display and working with original aircraft.
We aim to accurately and professionally portray to the public the German Air Force’s aircrew and ground support organisation, via realistic airfield scenes.. Original manuals and period photographs are used to ensure we are as accurate as possible. Organisers can have faith in the fact that as a newly formed group we aim from the outset to make our display and existence at a show, professional throughout.
The flying clothing & uniforms we use are for the most part original items, although where an original item isn’t available, or to wear such an item would render it liable to damage, reproduction uniforms will be used. We also use many original items of equipment and specially made props to enhance our display.
We are currently seeking new members, both male & female are welcome. They must hold no racist or extreme views. After an initial assessment of build, appearance and other characteristics required to correctly portray Luftwaffe personnel, new members will then, if accepted, be subject to a probationary period of membership, during which time we will further assess their suitability for the group. We expect them to act in a professional manner anywhere on site whilst at a show. Public usage of any photos featuring the group and the context they are used within are to be approved by group leaders beforehand.
We will help new members to find appropriate clothing and equipment and give advice on what they require and where it can be purchased.

We are a non political organisation and DO NOT subscribe to any of the views supported by the Third Reich Leadership of the time.

Show Organisers can contact us for a pdf detailing what they can expect and gain from us. We bring something rare and different to a show, enhancing any German WW2 aircraft presence and getting the cameras clicking. See also our Code of Conduct page and Gallery.
