The following items of uniform are acceptable :-




Black cotton tie.

Breeches or Riding Trousers. Lace, button or zip closing to lower leg.
M1935 Pattern trousers .


Riding Boots, soft leather with no top strap
Officers wore low-quarter black shoes with trousers.
White canvas shoes could be worn with the Summer uniform.
Schirmütze - Lightweight for Summer Wear. Also seen in the “crusher” style.
Schirmütze - Standard Officers Pattern. Often seen with the wire re-inforcing ring removed, producing a “crusher cap”, much liked by Pilots.
Fliegermütze - side cap.
Einheitsfliegermütze- M1943 pattern cap.
Waffenrock - Introduced in 1938 as a replacement for the Service Tunic (Tuchrock) and Fliegerbluse. Production ended in 1940. Officers pattern and material with silver cord to collar.
Fliegerbluse- originally had curved side pocket openings without flaps, later versions had flaps.
Sommerrock - light cotton tunic for wear from April to September. Pocket sizes matched those for the Tuchrock and Waffenrock
Blue flecked shirt- intoduced in September 1943 to replace the earlier Trikot collarless shirt.
Weiesshosen - trousers for wear with the Sommerrock.
Tuchrock - Introduced in 1935. Material was Tricot. Officers pattern and material with silver cord to collar.

Cuff titles for Officers were of aluminium thread embroidery on a dark navy-blue background. They indicated the particular unit the wearer belonged to.
